Tolunay-Wong Engineers, Inc.is one of the largest privately & minority owned geotechnical firms in the Gulf Coast. Our offices are in Texas and Louisiana with a staff of over 300 engineers, scientists, technicians, geologists, hydrogeologists, and associated laboratory and support personnel.

We are seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer for our Southeast Beaumont TX and Geismar Louisiana Area offices. The successful candidate will provide engineering and consulting services for a wide variety of projects and clients primarily in the Energy Market Sector. We will provide support necessary for career advancement with the objective of developing the candidate into a departmental management role. Our Southeast Texas and Louisiana operations are well established in the local market and our offices have an experienced engineering support staff in place. We are seeking a candidate with excellent communication skills, a strong desire for career advancement, and sound leadership qualities.

Minimum Qualifications:
• B.S. in Civil Engineering Bachelor's Degree in Geotechnical, Civil Engineering or a related field of study, foreign equivalent accepted.
• M.S. in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering is preferred.
• 6–8 years of progressive experience in geotechnical engineering, with a proven track record in both field and office-based work.
• Demonstrate verbal communication, writing, and technical presentation skills
• Demonstrate organizational skills for keeping multiple tasks on track from concept through delivery.
• Computer proficient (including AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Office suite, and Adobe Pro). Knowledge and experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, slope stability and seepage
analyses, and foundation design software is preferred.
• Strong technical report writing.
• Registered Professional Engineer or the ability to obtain one in 12 months.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepare technical proposals.
  • Execute geotechnical engineering project assignments.
  • Work with and provide mentorship of engineering support staff.
  • Manage and coordinate geotechnical field and laboratory assignments.
  • Perform engineering analyses and report preparation.
  • Maintain client expectations for project quality and schedule.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering
  • PE License or Active EIT Certification
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
