Finance Systems Director

A large manufacturing firms seeks a Financial Systems Director to join their dynamic team. They are seeking an experienced Financial Systems professional to lead and optimize their financial systems, reporting, and analytics capabilities. This key role will be responsible for managing their financial technology stack, integrating new technologies, and supporting M&A integration initiatives. You will leverage your deep knowledge of financial systems to drive continuous improvements and strategic decision-making. Responsibilities:

• Own the financial systems technology stack for business, including ERP (Microsoft Dynamics F&O), EPM, ExFlow, Avalara, Visual Lease, and emerging tools, ensuring platform integrity, scalability, and alignment with business needs
• Serve as the finance systems program manager for the future state solution requirements, design, testing, and business enablement of the D365 transformation
• Partner closely with IT to lead the evaluation, selection, implementation, and optimization of finance systems, including ERP, EPM, RPA, and automation tools
• Act as a strategic liaison between Finance, operating companies, and IT to translate business needs into system configurations, reporting structures, and data models
• Lead integration efforts for M&A activity, supporting post-acquisition financial data mapping, system harmonization, and reporting consolidation
• Drive enterprise-wide data quality initiatives, including master data governance, metadata design, data security, and reporting integrity
• Define and enhance financial data models, enabling insights and analytics across reporting, FP&A, and controllership functions
• Champion self-service reporting and data visualization by managing and enabling tools such as F&O, Power BI and fostering business user adoption
• Lead and support user training, system onboarding, and change management for current and future-state financial systems
• Manage and mentor the Finance Systems support team, enabling professional development, stakeholder engagement, and high-quality delivery of initiatives

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience managing financial systems and technologies.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O), SQL, and Power BI.
• Experience managing financial technology integrations, particularly within M&A contexts
• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Project Operations, Project Management Accounting, as well as supporting ISV’s
• Proven track record building financial reporting; standard reports, dashboards, and FP&A tools
• Knowledge or experience with AI-driven financial solutions.
• Familiarity with Python and/or C++ coding to enhance system functionality and automation.
• Excellent analytical, technical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
