Environmental Sustainability Intern

Our client, an environmental consulting company based in Austin, is looking for an Environmental Sustainability Intern to support its growing sustainability advisory practice. This internship offers hands-on exposure to environmental data collection, reporting, and client-facing project work in a fast-paced consulting environment.

The intern will work directly with sustainability consultants on active client engagements, assisting with research, data organization, and documentation used in environmental impact assessments and sustainability reporting. This is a paid, on-site internship suited to a student or recent graduate pursuing a degree in environmental science, sustainability, or a related field.

The role provides direct mentorship from senior consultants, exposure to real client deliverables, and the opportunity to build a professional network in the environmental services industry.

Responsibilities

• Assist with collection and organization of environmental and sustainability data
• Support preparation of client reports and presentation materials
• Conduct research on environmental regulations and industry standards
• Help track project timelines and deliverables for active engagements
• Attend and take notes during client meetings and site visits
• Assist with data entry into sustainability tracking software
• Support the team with administrative tasks related to ongoing projects
• Participate in internal training sessions on sustainability frameworks

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in environmental science, sustainability, or related field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Ability to work on-site in Austin, Texas
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Interest in environmental policy or corporate sustainability
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Prior coursework or project experience related to environmental topics preferred
