Sr Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Maintenance Technician to support a high-volume manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for leading advanced troubleshooting, preventive maintenance programs, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in industrial maintenance, mechanical and electrical systems, and production equipment optimization.

Location: South San Antonio (Lackland & Hwy 90)

Pay: Starting at $28 DOE

Schedule: Full-Time | 12-hour shifts + mandatory weekends

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform and lead preventive maintenance (PM) programs on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machinery.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Diagnose equipment failures using precision measuring tools and diagnostic instruments.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Dismantle and repair defective equipment using hoists, cranes, and hand/power tools.
• Inspect and measure parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools.
• Fabricate or modify parts using machine shop equipment.
• Adjust and calibrate equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
• Lead efforts to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability (OEE).
• Support and mentor junior maintenance technicians as needed.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, reports, and documentation (CMMS systems preferred).
• Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and company policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Experience troubleshooting production equipment, conveyors, motors, and automated systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Experience using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 LBS.
• Must pass drug screen & background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with CNC machines, injection molding, or high-volume manufacturing.
• Knowledge of PLC troubleshooting (Allen Bradley, Siemens, etc.).
• Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
• Background in lean manufacturing, TPM, or continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prior experience in a lead or senior-level maintenance role.
