Job Title: Lean Coordinator

Duration: Long-Term Contract

Job Summary:

The Lean Coordinator is responsible for driving operational efficiency and continuous improvement across the organization by applying Lean methodologies. In the context of oil and gas operations, the Lean Coordinator will focus on optimizing workflows, reducing downtime, eliminating waste, and enhancing safety and productivity in field operations, supply chain, maintenance, and back-office functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct process mapping and value stream analysis to identify inefficiencies in upstream, midstream, and downstream operations.
• Lead and support Lean Kaizen events, root cause analysis (e.g., 5 Whys), and continuous improvement initiatives in field and office environments.
• Work cross-functionally with drilling, production, maintenance, and logistics teams to implement Lean best practices.
• Analyze operational data to identify trends and propose cost-saving or performance-enhancing initiatives.
• Develop and maintain Lean dashboards, KPIs, and performance tracking tools.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence through training and workshops.
• Support implementation of 5S, visual management systems, and standard work practices in rigs, refineries, and office settings.
• Ensure alignment of Lean activities with Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) regulations and company standards.
• Prepare reports and presentations for leadership on Lean project outcomes, ROI, and process changes.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, or a related field.
• 3 5 years of experience in a Lean, Continuous Improvement, or Process Improvement role.
• Experience in the oil and gas industry is strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of Lean tools: Kaizen, 5S, Kanban, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or similar tools.
• Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt) is a plus.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and change management skills.
• Ability to work in remote field locations or production environments when needed.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with digital transformation or operational technology in oil & gas (e.g., SCADA systems, digital twins).

Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).

Strong project management experience.
