Physical Therapist - Travel Contract
Looking for a change of scenery and a chance to help others. Join as a traveling Physical Therapist in Webster, TX working in an outpatient setting where you will help patients recover from injuries and manage chronic conditions while experiencing life in a new location. The role includes 60-minute initial evaluations and combined eval/treatment sessions as appropriate. You will evaluate assigned patients, develop and modify treatment plans, delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services, and design functional programs to support return to community activities. Maintain documentation, ensure care follows physician orders and payer approvals, participate in student education as assigned, and pursue professional development.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
- Active Texas Physical Therapist license required to start the assignment.
- BLS Certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
- Experience in outpatient physical therapy required. Experience performing 60-minute evaluations and delivering one-on-one treatment preferred.
- Ability to complete timely, accurate medical record documentation, including goal writing, functional quality indicators, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry.
- Familiarity with safe patient handling and infection control practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience supervising or mentoring students.
- Experience with developing individualized professional development plans.
