Service Advisor

Location : McKinney, TX

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8am to 6pm

Compensation: $24+/hr. (based on experience) + full benefits

Southwest International Trucks is hiring a personable and detail orientated Service Advisor in McKinney, Texas . The Service Advisor will have a full-time schedule , with access to full benefits and company incentives.

Service Advisor Job Responsibilities:

• Communicate with service customers to determine the nature of the mechanical problems
• Secure agreement with customer before repair
• Determine warranty eligibility
• Prioritize repairs needed to be completed to the mechanics
• Follow-up on repair with mechanics/ keep customers informed
• Handle telephone inquiries/return phone calls
• Maintain the upkeep of the shop
• Assist the Service Manager as needed

Service Advisor Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years' experience; preferably in the Heavy-Duty Truck Industry.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record, CDL a plus
• Sales Skills and ability to make appropriate service recommendations
• Basic engine knowledge
• Good verbal, listening and written communication skills
• Solid computer skills-must be able to enter data accurately and quickly
• Ability to problem solve in an efficient and effective manner
