Duties Safely operate commercial trucks with manual transmissions, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Load and unload freight using forklift or roll-off truck equipment when necessary, ensuring cargo integrity and proper handling. Drive route-specific deliveries, including refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, tankers, and other specialized freight. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and readiness for operation. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and vehicle maintenance records. Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route updates, delivery schedules, and any incidents or delays. Follow all company policies related to load securement, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance. Qualifications Valid CDL A license with proven experience operating tractor-trailers and commercial trucks. Demonstrated proficiency in driving manual transmission vehicles. Experience handling various types of freight such as refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, tankers, or dump trucks is preferred. Delivery driver experience with a focus on route driving and load & unload procedures. Ability to operate auxiliary equipment like forklifts when required for loading or unloading cargo. Strong knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving and freight handling. Excellent communication skills and a commitment to punctuality and professionalism.
