Head of Events D&S, FireTV & Alexa - MET Developer Engagement

Amazon.com Services LLC
Austin, TX

DESCRIPTION As Head of Global Events, you'll lead Amazon's Devices & Services partner events strategy and a team of five events professionals executing events across multiple tiers and organizational stakeholders. This role is suited to a business-focused leader who can translate partner engagement opportunities into measurable outcomes, establish strategic relationships that amplify our developer community, and demonstrate strong financial acumen in budget management and strategic decision making.

The role requires approximately 25% travel and includes responsibility for the Home Lab, which drives technical integration of Amazon products for event demonstrations and partner experiences.

Key job responsibilities

  • Model Amazon's Leadership Principles and create an inclusive, collaborative team environment that values diverse perspectives
  • Oversee end-to-end planning and execution of major industry events including CES, Alexa and FireTV partner summits, developer conferences, and strategic partner showcases
  • Manage corporate events for D&S leadership that facilitate partner engagement, business development, and strategic relationship building

  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with FireTV and Alexa product teams, Developer Marketing, Business Development, PR, and other key stakeholders
