We are seeking a dedicated Catering Coordinator to assist in planning and organizing catered events. This role involves working closely with clients and our team to ensure each event is seamless and successful. If you are passionate about creating memorable experiences and excel in organization and communication, this position is perfect for you.
Responsibilities
- Engage with clients to understand their event requirements and expectations.
- Assist in planning event details, including menus, schedules, and setup needs.
- Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth communication and understanding of event details.
- Prepare quotes, invoices, and manage basic paperwork related to events.
- Ensure availability and readiness of supplies and equipment for events.
- Be present on event days to oversee smooth operations and address any arising issues.
- Collaborate with vendors and venues to confirm deliveries and event specifics.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in administrative support, foodservice, and event planning.
- Strong skills in hospitality, calendar management, and customer service.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
- Experience in menu planning, scheduling, housekeeping, and food safety.
- Capabilities in budgeting, staff supervision, coordination, and training.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in event logistics management and event coordination.
- Strong client communication skills and customer service orientation.
- Ability to manage and support menu planning and scheduling.

Work Environment
The role is based in a high-end cafeteria, reporting directly to the Sous Chef. The working hours are from 6 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday, or from 7 am to 4 pm. The dress code includes black khaki pants, a black polo shirt, and black shoes.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irving, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
