Clinical Team Lead - Emancipation
The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD (“The HARRIS CENTER”) is looking for a certified Clinical Team Lead supporting the Emancipation Center to embark on a rewarding healthcare career! Under the general direction of the Program Director or designated staff, the Clinical Team Lead performs administrative duties involving day to day operations of the unit, training, supervision of the work performance of designated clinical staff. Responsible for planning, organizing and conducting multidisciplinary team meetings in collaboration with the team psychiatrist as directed. May provide clinical services to consumers at assigned work site. Other duties may include input into hiring and discharge recommendation, staff evaluations, scheduling and workload assignments as needed or directed. This position may require travel, flexible hours, on-call duty and coverage in the absence of the Program Director.
Your Role in Action:
- Provides supervision to designated unit staff to facilitate optimal supervision in the performance of job duties (includes individual, chart reviews, coaching, etc.)
- Evaluates work performance of staff supervised and institutes written disciplinary actions when needed for substandard performance (to include but not limited to productivity standards, treatment plan and documentation, service provision documentation and data submission)
- Monitors compliance with service provision requirements, productivity standards, treatment plan authorization and documentation, service provision documentation, and timely data submission,.
- Works collaboratively with physicians, LPHA/Administration in providing consultation to clinical staff to facilitate continuity and effective clinical care delivery.
- Plans and conducts treatment team/staffing meetings in consultation with the treatment team psychiatrist and appropriate team members as needed or directed by Program Director
- Provides ongoing consultation for staff in the clinic regarding procedures, resources, clinical and personnel issue
- Participates in patient care monitoring to review the quality of clinical care
- Provides clinical services and coverage as needed for supervised staff and arranges for coverage to ensure continuity of services
- Works collaboratively with designated staff to ensure training needs are met for supervised staff
- Responsible for compliance with contract and agency mandatory training requirements and works collaboratively with the clinical trainer to identify and provide job related training
- Participates in the hiring and termination process of supervised staff as assigned by the Program Director.
- Performs daily administrative duties for unit as assigned by Program Director or designated staff.
- Performs related work as assigned. Adapts to changing work requirements.
- Demonstrates ethical conduct in all clinical and professional activities.
What qualifications will you need:
Education:
- Master’s degree (M.A.) from four-year accredited college or university with a major in a social, behavioral, or human service field, including but not limited to: psychology, social work, medicine, nursing, rehabilitation, counseling, sociology, human development, gerontology, and educational psychology.
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), LMFT.
Experience:
- Must have 3 years experiencing working in a mental health setting with previous supervisory experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Must have basic knowledge of principles of the development, implementation and documentation of individualized care and treatment for a wide range of psychiatric conditions, including adult and child populations.
- Maintains current licensure/credentials with appropriate state licensure regulatory board.
- Ability to effectively lead others. Strong communication skills with ability to effectively converse and listen to others and construct clear and concise written communication. Ability to identify and offer solutions to resolve problems, using knowledge of the organization to identify helpful resources. Effective time management and organizational skills. Able to utilize basic Word and Excel documents.
