Banquet Cook - Signia by Hilton at La Cantera Resort and Spa
The beautiful Signia by Hilton La Cantera Resort and Spa is looking for a Cook to join their Banquet team!
Overlooking the rolling hills and majestic live oaks of the Hill Country, our tranquil resort offers over 140,000 sq. ft. of elegant event spaces, a luxury spa, multiple outdoor swimming pools, kid’s camp, and an 18-hole golf course. Our four restaurants and five bars offer a range of dining options, from casual to gourmet. We're 20 minutes from San Antonio International Airport, near shopping, dining, and attractions like Six Flags San Antonio.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of cooking experience in a commercial kitchen and demonstrate strong teamwork and organizational skills. Prior experience within a hotel banquets department is strongly preferred. Flexibility is key you must be able to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts to meet banquet demands. What will I be doing?
As a Cook, you would be responsible for the preparation and execution of menu items for the banquet events according to the established recipes in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Prepare food items according to designated recipes and quality standards
Assist with setup, breakdown, and replenishment during events.
Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards at all times
Manage guest orders in a friendly, timely and efficient manner
Collaborate with the banquet team to meet event timelines and guest expectations.
Ensure knowledge of menu and all food products
Stock and maintain designated food station(s)
Visually inspect all food sent from the kitchen
Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations
