McCormick & Company, Inc., a world leader in the spice, flavor and seasonings industry, is seeking a full time Warehouse Team Manager in the Materials Management group supporting a major industrial customer. This new hire will work in Irving, TX and report to the Warehouse Department Manager. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the general supervision of the Department Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for the following:
  • Managing and directing all activities and processes related the warehousing including receiving, picking, storage/retrieval, inventory control, distribution inventory accuracy
  • Providing direction and oversight for team
  • Lead a team in a specific functional area in a manner consistent with the core beliefs and guiding principles of McCormick's High Performance System
  • Full supervisory responsibilities, contributing to the motivation/development of the warehouse teams through professional leadership
  • Ensures JTE practices are integrated into warehouse activities
  • Utilizes problem solving tools and methodologies to implement continually improve processes within the function
  • Certifies relevant SOX controls on a quarterly basis
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • 3+ years of related experience in Supply Chain, Materials Management, with demonstrated leadership ability
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, SAP, MS Teams, SharePoint
  • Basic proficiency of PowerPoint preferred
  • Must have strong working knowledge of cross-divisional needs within the warehouse operation where applicable
  • Experience supervising non-exempt personnel
  • Good mathematical aptitude, analytical ability, ability to research data, and work independently
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, demanding work environment
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree or 10 years manufacturing, warehousing, or supply chain experience in lieu of a degree
  • Demonstrated understanding of the financial impact of business decisions affecting staffing, product components and inventory is required.
  • Demonstrated practice of leadership principles
  • Experience developing, coaching, and motivating employees in a team-based environment
  • Understanding of the cost benefits and economic logic of how decisions affect business results
  • Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills to determine risk assessment
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours and days across three shifts to meet business and employee needs
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in Business, Engineering, a Supply Chain discipline or related
  • APICS Certification
  • Knowledge of SAP or other enterprise resource planning tool
  • Formal leadership training
