About the Role:
Join MEDDERS CONSTRUCTION CO INC as a Framer and play a pivotal role in building exceptional structures in La Porte, TX. We are seeking skilled individuals who are passionate about construction and eager to contribute to our dynamic team.
Responsibilities:
- Measure, cut, and assemble framing materials according to project specifications.
- Install wall frames, floor systems, and roofing structures with precision.
- Collaborate with other trades to ensure timely project completion.
- Read and interpret blueprints and architectural drawings.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment at all times.
- Inspect and replace damaged framing materials as necessary.
- Utilize hand and power tools effectively and safely.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior framers on best practices.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a framer or in a similar construction role.
- Strong knowledge of framing techniques and building codes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with hand and power tools used in framing.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
