Senior Full Stack Engineer
The Applications team under Software Integration & Operations builds custom, internal applications that enable and optimize daily operations for the V-BAT product line. This includes applications for manufacturing execution, fleet-sustainment, and software deployment. We are looking for a well-experienced and hungry full-stack engineer to take over development of new web applications, specifically serving build software to optimize daily V-BAT mission operations and fleet sustainment needs.
The ideal candidate is someone who can independently own the design, implementation, and deployment of robust software solutions for manufacturing execution and resource planning for our aircraft production lines. The role is ideal for an engineer who thrives in an agile, fast-moving environment and is motivated in building modern software solutions for aircraft operations.
You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders and cross-functional software teams to deliver tools that directly improve aircraft manufacturing, flight operations, and training. Your contributions will be shipped and used weekly; you and the team will provide long-term ownership over the apps you build.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience, or equivalent skill demonstrated via past projects.
- Strong command of modern JavaScript/TypeScript and frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, or equivalent).
- Backend development expertise using Node.js or Python, with experience designing RESTful APIs and managing service interactions.
- Strong familiarity with relational databases and experience designing scalable data models (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Strong data analytical skills, with the ability to reveal and present data-driven insights using large datasets and models.
- Track record of success shipping excellent software solutions — demonstrating expertise, ownership, and ability to drive value through the software you write.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Palantir Foundry or similar enterprise data platforms (a plus, not required — we will train strong candidates).
- Experience building software for vehicle or robotics manufacturing
- Experience working with microservice architecture, container-based deployments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
