Manager, Quality
- Own the Quality Management System (QMS) for the G2 solar cell fab, ensuring compliance with IEC and ISO standards across all operations.
- Lead and develop a quality engineering team responsible for in-line inspection, final product release, and non-conformance management.
- Establish and maintain quality control plans, inspection protocols, and acceptance criteria for all cell fab processes and products.
- Drive yield improvement and defect reduction through structured quality methodologies including SPC, FMEA, 8D, and root cause analysis.
- Lead internal and external audits, certification activities, and customer quality reviews.
- Manage non-conformance, corrective action, and preventive action (CAPA) processes with urgency and rigor.
- Partner with Process, Equipment, and Production teams to embed quality controls into daily manufacturing operations.
- Develop and maintain quality reporting, metrics, and dashboards for leadership visibility.
- Support customer qualification activities and manage quality-related customer communications.
- Ensure product compliance with applicable IEC standards including IEC 61215 and IEC 61730.
- A quality leader with deep expertise in IEC and ISO standards as applied to solar or semiconductor manufacturing.
- Experienced building and running quality management systems in high-volume, high-stakes environments.
- Rigorous and methodical — you don't accept "we think it's fine" as a quality standard.
- A confident leader who can hold the line on quality without alienating the operations team.
- Data-driven, with strong command of statistical quality tools and a track record of using them to drive real improvement.
- 10+ years of quality management experience in solar, semiconductor, or advanced manufacturing.
- IEC and/or ISO certification required; expertise in IEC 61215, IEC 61730, and ISO 9001 strongly preferred.
- Deep experience building and managing QMS programs in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in quality methodologies including SPC, FMEA, 8D, and root cause analysis.
- Experience leading internal and external audits and managing certification processes.
- Proven ability to lead quality teams and drive cross-functional quality improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field; advanced degree a plus.
