Job Summary

The Warehouse Records Associate is responsible for timely pickup, storage, maintenance, and destruction of records and non-records in the BSWH Central Records program.

Essential Functions of the Role

• Processes the transfer, retrieval, and destruction of records. Accurately matches the number of boxes with locations for orders. Processes orders for delivery or return to and from departments. Ensures each destruction box is destroyed according to established procedures.
• Following BSW processes and privacy laws ensures records' integrity and availability in the Centralized Records Facilities.
• Loads trucks safely. Secures all items for travel. Ensures load meets all government regulations. Observes road safety procedures. Utilizes all available safety devices and procedures.
• Accurately delivers supplies, equipment, and other items to specified locations on time. Engages in problem-solving to respond to requests in a fast-paced environment.
• Performs all relevant warehouse functions, including but not limited to lift truck operation, pallet jack operation, reach truck operation.
• Uses appropriate technology (including telephone, fax machine, email, spreadsheets) to communicate with customers and to locate records.
• Performs basic maintenance of vehicles, lift equipment and warehouse facilities as needed.
• Retrieves bulk records, documents and other paper and film-based items, storing or preparing for destruction.
• Follow the BSW Business and Record Retention Policy. Work with department leadership to review and prepare records for destruction after their retention period.
• Prepares delivery, movement, reissue, disposal or retention, and bar coding of capital equipment.

Key Success Factors

• Knowledge of HIPAA, state law and other medical privacy regulations
• Must maintain a Valid Texas Driver's License and good driving record
• Customer-service focus with good communication skills and attention to detail
• Continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking/pushing/climbing and lifting material or equipment of heavy weight (> 50 lbs.)

• EDUCATION - H.S. Diploma/GED Equivalent
• EXPERIENCE - 1 Year of Experience
