Finance Manager POST NUMBER: 465728
Dallas, TX – Hybrid (4 days onsite) Compensation: $115k–$130k base 10% bonus One of Vaco’s PE-backed Distribution clients with over $1B in revenue is seeking a Finance Manager – Strategic Projects to support enterprise-level initiatives during a period of continued acquisition-driven growth. This is a newly created, high-visibility role reporting directly to senior finance leadership, offering meaningful exposure to the C-suite and private equity partners. Key Responsibilities
• Partner with senior finance leadership on large-scale strategic initiatives and special projects
• Build and maintain complex financial models to support business decisions and investment analysis
• Analyze and manipulate large data sets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
• Support acquisition-related analysis and integration initiatives
• Prepare and present financial insights to executive leadership and private equity stakeholders
• Respond to ad hoc financial requests from the C-suite and investors
• Assist in the preparation of executive-level presentations and reporting materials
• Collaborate cross-functionally with accounting, operations, and leadership teams Qualifications and Skills
• 4–6 years of progressive experience in finance
• Background in investment banking, consulting, public accounting (with transition to finance), or corporate finance strongly preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field required; MBA preferred
• Advanced Excel skills required, including building and manipulating financial models (macros and advanced formulas preferred)
• Experience working with large ERP systems; NetSuite experience a plus
• Exposure to PowerBI or Tableau preferred
• Proven experience supporting strategic initiatives or special projects with tangible outcomes
• Comfortable operating in a dynamic, high-growth, PE-backed environment
• Strong executive presence with excellent written and verbal communication skills
