Routefusion is the first embeddable cross-border-payments-as-a-service company founded by software engineers for software engineers. Routefusion's API enables neo-banks, payroll providers, platforms, and marketplaces to begin offering cross-border payments to their customers in as quickly as two days. With a single integration, Routefusion customers have access to more than seven different banking and FX providers. In February 2021, the company closed $3.6 million in seed funding, led by Silverton Partners with additional participation from Initialized Capital, NextWorld Capital and William Hockey, co-founder of Plaid.

Routefusion was founded in 2019 by Colton Seal and Richard Scappaticci and is based in Austin, TX.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to produce and implement functional software solutions. You will work with upper management to define software requirements and take the lead on operational and technical projects.

In this role, you should be able to work independently with little supervision. You should have excellent organization and problem-solving skills as well as strong communication skills.

As a Senior Engineer, you should be comfortable communicating with multiple internal organizations, as well as working in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities
• Develop high-quality software & architecture that is aligned with user needs and business goals;
• Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting;
• Review and debug code;
• Perform validation and verification testing;
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to build, improve, and fix products;
• Document development phases and monitor systems;
• Mentor, assist, and help grow junior level engineers;
• Share technical support responsibility with the team;
• Kick ass and have a blast doing it!

Ideal Candidate
• Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer and architect;
• In-depth knowledge of the following technologies: Javascript, Node.js, Pub/Sub, Redis, Postgres;
• In-depth understanding of API standards such as REST, and GraphQL;
• Extensive knowledge of relational and non-relational databases;
• Maintain a “Team first” mentality;
• Motivation to grow and win, individually and as part of a team (aka. failure is not an option);
• Extraordinary communication skills, both written and oral;
• Ability to thrive in an ever-changing, upbeat environment; and
• Ability to work autonomously while maintaining focus and an unwavering work ethic.
