Genetic Counselor

Contact: Responsibilities
- Provide genetic counseling for preconception, pregnancy loss, and high-risk pregnancies.
- Review family and medical histories; assess genetic risks and educate patients on inheritance and diagnostic options.
- Interpret genetic test results and communicate findings to patients and referring physicians.
- Respond to patient inquiries, provide triage, and coordinate referrals.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely communication with healthcare providers.
- Support administrative processes including authorizations, billing, and compliance with OSHA standards.
- Stay current with research and participate in professional development.
- A current/valid license as a Genetic Counselor if the state in which they are providing medical services requires it.
- Master's prepared, board eligible or board certified as a Genetic Counselor.
- Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience will be considered.
