Senior Accountant

SafeLease enables commercial real estate owners to maximize the value of their assets. We are expanding on the early success of our tenant insurance product by building a next-gen platform that unlocks new revenue channels, optimizes data-driven pricing models, and automates revenue collection.

To support this growth, we’re hiring a Senior Accountant . This position will not only own significant scope within the growing Accounting/Finance team, but also have the opportunity to impact cross-functional work across the organization. This role reports to the Sr. Accounting Manager.

About the Role

This accounting role will provide key support to various finance functions by implementing systems, software, processes, and procedures. The day-to-day responsibilities of this position will include:

• Maintaining a system of controls over all accounting transactions

• Assisting with issuing timely and accurate monthly financial statements

• Ensuring clients are invoiced timely and accurately

• Facilitating collection efforts and applying client payments

• Reconciling balance sheets within deadlines

• Complying with local, state, and federal government reporting, audit request, and tax filings

• Working with Senior Accounting Manager to draft SOPs and company accounting policies to streamline work

• Interacting with internal and external stakeholders

About You

We’re looking for a well-organized and steadfast problem solver who loves to learn and grow in their craft. The Senior Accountant must be able to work with sensitive and confidential information, so trustworthiness is important, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills as we work in a team-oriented environment.

An ideal candidate will have:

• 2+ years of experience in a similar role

• Business or accounting degree; CPA, Chartered Accountant, or public accounting experience preferred

• High level of proficiency with Excel, experience with Sage Intacct, Metabase, FloQuast, Quickbooks Online, Ramp, and Rippling preferred

• Experience with multi-entity operations

• Strong focus on client service

• Desire to work in an in-person or hybrid work environment

• Ability to adapt to priority shifts and fast-paced environment while working autonomously and collaboratively
