Position Summary:

Provides professional level skills in performing moderate to complex financial analysis for the institution. Completes financial analysis and assists in the development of various institution wide and operating unit specific financial reports.

Position Key Accountabilities:

1. Develop, prepare, analyze and/or review reports summarizing financial activity for the institution. 2. Prepare and analyze historical and projected financial data to provide senior management with valuable information upon which to make relevant financial decisions. 3. May analyze, prepare and/or review sponsored projects financial activities. 4. Assist in the preparation and submission of the annual financial report, the annual operating budget, quarterly operating projections and the monthly financial report to senior management and UT System. 5. Prepare and analyze reconciliations of activity with UT System. 6. Analyze and prepare documentation and support as requested by internal and external auditors. 7. May assist in and/or prepare the indirect cost proposal for the institution. 8. May analyze and prepare needed adjustments to both actual and budget ledgers for the institution. 9. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education:

Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.

Minimum Experience:

Five (5) years of related experience in a financial or accounting area.

Physical Requirements:

Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
