Position Overview
We are seeking a Social Media & Marketing Coordinator to manage and expand our online presence across multiple platforms. This role will focus on creating engaging content, capturing the SafeSplash experience through photos and videos, managing social media pages, increasing followers and engagement, supporting local marketing efforts, and building relationships within our communities.
The ideal candidate is creative, comfortable being around families and children, enjoys attending local events, has strong communication skills, and can independently create content that tells the SafeSplash story.
This position will begin as a part-time role (approximately 25 hours per week) with the potential to transition into a full-time marketing position as the company continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Management & Content Creation
- Manage and maintain social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and other relevant channels
- Create and publish engaging content that highlights swim lessons, instructors, families, events, promotions, and community involvement
- Take high-quality photos and videos at SafeSplash locations to showcase daily activities and customer experiences
- Create and edit short-form videos, reels, stories, and promotional content
- Develop creative ideas for increasing engagement, brand awareness, and follower growth
- Maintain a consistent posting schedule and content calendar
- Monitor comments, messages, and online engagement while helping build strong relationships with families and customers
- Track social media performance and identify opportunities for improvement
Photography & Video Marketing
- Visit SafeSplash locations to capture authentic photos and videos of classes, events, instructors, and customer experiences
- Capture behind-the-scenes content that showcases the SafeSplash culture
- Create promotional materials that can be used for social media, email campaigns, advertisements, and community outreach
- Ensure content reflects a positive, safe, and welcoming environment
Community Engagement & Local Marketing
- Attend local community events, school events, family events, and promotional activities to represent SafeSplash
- Build relationships with local organizations, businesses, schools, and community partners
- Help create partnerships and opportunities to increase brand awareness
- Distribute marketing materials and support local outreach initiatives
- Identify new opportunities to connect SafeSplash with families in surrounding communities
Growth & Brand Awareness
- Develop strategies to increase social media followers, engagement, and customer interaction
- Help promote swim programs, seasonal promotions, events, and special offers
- Assist with marketing campaigns designed to drive new enrollments
- Research local trends and identify creative ways to reach new customers
- Support overall marketing goals across multiple SafeSplash locations
Travel & Multi-Location Support
- Travel locally between SafeSplash locations as needed to capture content and support marketing initiatives
- Coordinate with location managers and staff to identify upcoming events, promotions, and content opportunities
- Maintain a strong presence across multiple locations and communities
Qualifications
- Experience managing social media accounts for a business, organization, or brand preferred
- Strong understanding of platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and other social channels
- Experience creating reels, short videos, photos, and digital content
- Comfortable taking photos and videos in a family-friendly environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Creative mindset with the ability to develop fresh ideas and engaging content
- Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple projects independently
- Comfortable attending community events and interacting with families, customers, and local partners
- Ability to travel locally between locations
- Basic knowledge of Canva, Adobe tools, CapCut, or similar content creation platforms is a plus
Preferred Experience
- Social media marketing experience
- Digital marketing experience
- Photography or videography experience
- Community outreach or event marketing experience
- Experience growing social media accounts or online communities
- Experience working with children, families, schools, or community-based organizations is a plus
