Director of Maintenance

How You Will Make an Impact: The Director, Maintenance will be responsible for the fixed and mobile plants' maintenance and reliability. This role is responsible for strategic planning, staff management, budget oversight, and the implementation of maintenance programs to ensure operational efficiency and safety. Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement maintenance strategies and procedures to ensure maximum operational efficiency.
• Oversee the scheduling and completion of preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
• Manage and lead maintenance teams, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
• Monitor maintenance budgets, control expenditures, and ensure cost-effective practices.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and industry standards.
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize operational disruptions.
• Analyze maintenance data and metrics to identify areas for improvement.
• Develop and maintain relationships with external contractors and service providers.
• Prepare and present reports on maintenance operations to senior management.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or 10 years directly related experience.
• Mining experience is preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of Maintenance Management experience in a large, multi-faceted organization
• Proven experience in a senior maintenance management role.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities.
• Proficient in maintenance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
