Business Development Manager - Digital Solutions
- Develop and execute aggressive business development and sales strategies to drive revenue growth, increase market share, and expand adoption of NOV Digital Services solutions.
- Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities across oil & gas and adjacent industries including industrial, energy transition, manufacturing, utilities, mining, and infrastructure sectors.
- Build and grow a robust sales pipeline through strategic prospecting, account development, networking, and relationship management.
- Drive sales of digital products, software platforms, analytics solutions, automation technologies, and data-driven services by delivering clear business value to customers.
- Expand revenue opportunities within existing customer accounts while developing new logos and market segments.
- Lead complex commercial engagements from opportunity identification through proposal development, negotiation, and contract closure.
- Deliver impactful customer presentations, technical demonstrations, and executive-level business discussions that clearly communicate ROI and operational benefits.
- Collaborate with engineering, product management, data analytics, and operations teams to develop tailored customer solutions that support revenue generation and customer retention.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product positioning, business expansion, and increased profitability.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reporting, account plans, and CRM activity to support regional and organizational revenue targets.
- Represent NOV at industry events, trade shows, conferences, and customer engagements to strengthen brand presence and generate new business opportunities.
- Drive new digital solution sales and revenue generation initiatives.
- Manage and grow strategic customer accounts with a focus on long-term commercial success and account expansion.
- Develop and execute account growth strategies to maximize customer value and recurring revenue opportunities.
- Support customer onboarding and successful adoption of digital products and services to improve retention and satisfaction.
- Develop technical knowledge of NOV Digital Services platforms, software tools, analytics capabilities, and operational technologies.
- Support customer solution design discussions and identify opportunities for workflow optimization and operational improvement.
- Collaborate with internal technical and commercial teams to ensure successful project execution and customer outcomes.
- Participate in ongoing training and continuous development related to digital technologies, software solutions, analytics, and industrial applications.
- Support additional strategic growth initiatives and commercial projects as required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or related field; equivalent industry experience considered.
- 5-10 years of experience in business development, technical sales, enterprise sales, account management, or solution selling within industrial, energy, technology, or oil & gas sectors.
- Demonstrated success achieving or exceeding revenue targets and developing new business opportunities in a B2B environment.
- Proven experience selling technical, software, SaaS, analytics, automation, or digital transformation solutions preferred.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify growth opportunities and develop revenue-generating strategies.
- Experience managing complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and executive-level decision-makers.
- Strong understanding of industrial operations, operational technologies, and data-driven business solutions.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate independently and drive business growth in evolving markets.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and closing high-value commercial opportunities.
- Strong ability to develop sales strategies, generate qualified pipelines, and convert opportunities into profitable business outcomes.
- Experience identifying customer pain points and positioning value-driven digital solutions that deliver measurable ROI.
- Ability to quickly learn and communicate technical concepts related to software platforms, analytics tools, automation systems, and industrial data environments.
- Understanding of digital transformation initiatives, operational KPIs, dashboards, and data-driven workflows preferred.
- Comfortable engaging with technical teams, operational personnel, engineers, and executive leadership.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly present complex technical and commercial concepts.
- Strong executive presence and customer-facing presentation capabilities.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to leverage data to support business decisions and sales strategies.
- Ability to identify market trends, evaluate business opportunities, and develop actionable growth plans.
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities, customer accounts, and priorities in a fast-paced sales environment.
- Experience using CRM platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, and digital collaboration tools.
