Accounts Payable Clerk
Careerscape is hiring an Accounts Payable Clerk to support the finance team by processing invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely payments to vendors. In this fully remote position, you'll review invoices, reconcile accounts, resolve payment discrepancies, and help maintain efficient financial operations. Responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently
- Verify invoice details and obtain payment approvals
- Prepare and process electronic payments
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Respond to vendor payment inquiries professionally
- Assist with month-end closing activities
- Update accounting systems with accurate information
- Collaborate with internal departments regarding invoice approvals
- Follow company accounting policies and procedures
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Reliable internet connection and dedicated remote workspace
- Previous accounts payable experience is a plus but not required
