Occupational Medicine Physician
We are seeking an experienced part-time Occupational Medicine Physician to provide onsite medical services at a large heavy manufacturing facility in Northwest Houston. The physician will manage work-related injuries and illnesses, support regulatory compliance, and contribute to a comprehensive occupational health program. Fluency in Spanish or Vietnamese is preferred.
Schedule:
- Part-time position, up to 20 hours per week
- Onsite presence required
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat occupational injuries and illnesses
- Provide injury management, follow-up care, and return-to-work planning
- Determine work restrictions and fitness-for-duty
- Partner with onsite nursing staff, safety professionals, HR, and leadership
- Assist with OSHA recordability determinations and documentation
- Provide physician oversight of OSHA Hearing Conservation programs, including audiogram interpretation and STS identification
- Support medical surveillance programs related to noise exposure
- Communicate clearly with employees and stakeholders in Vietnamese
- Maintain accurate and compliant medical records
Required Qualifications
MD or DO with active, unrestricted Texas medical license
Experience in occupational medicine and injury management
Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Occupational Medicine, Preventive Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine
Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, including Hearing Conservation (29 CFR 1910.95)
Ability to review and interpret audiometric testing
Preferred Qualifications
- Fluency in Spanish or Vietnamese
- Prior onsite or manufacturing clinic experience
- Experience with heavy industrial or manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems
- DOT medical examiner certification (preferred but not required)
