Technical Designer - Signage (Remote)

In this role, you will play a crucial part within the Visual Development team by supporting the creative vision through detailed and precise technical design. Your expertise will be woven into the fabric of memorable experiences, as you contribute to the design and implementation of a comprehensive Sign Program. This project-based position invites creativity and technical skill, offering an opportunity to impact how audiences engage with storytelling through signage. Accountabilities

• Update and maintain the master sign schedule for accuracy in quantities, IDs, descriptions, materials, and locations.
• Develop installation maps using floor or site plans, ensuring labels and sign IDs are placed accurately.
• Build out comprehensive sign programs aligned with brand and environmental graphic guidelines.
• Produce production-ready technical drawings for various sign types using CadTools.
• Participate in conceptual development for signage and wayfinding systems.
• Create original environmental graphics and signage solutions across varied projects.
• Translate creative direction into distinct visual communication systems.
• Solve complex environmental and wayfinding challenges with both creative and technical solutions.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience in signage design and production or related fields.
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator.
• Experience with HotDoor CadTools is essential.
• Familiarity with sign programs, environmental graphic design, architectural drawings, or wayfinding systems.
• Ability to produce accurate technical documentation.
• Knowledge of California ADA Requirements.
• Understanding of Life Safety Signage.
• Organized and detail-oriented with skills in version control.
• Good communication skills and receptiveness to feedback.
