Delivery & Service Support
Job Summary: - This is a training position to fill Delivery & Service Representative roles as they open
- Assist the Delivery & Service Representatives to deliver and merchandise products
- Work with Delivery & Service Representatives, Delivery & Service Leader, Sales Manager, Team Leader, and Salesmen in a collaborative environment
- Ground support for the marketing and sales of all Wismer Distributing products, ensuring the retailers and customers get the freshest product and the highest quality service available in the local market
- Represent Wismer Distributing in a professional and positive manner
- Reflect a professional image
- Hair/facial hair should be clean and neatly groomed
- Uniform cleaned and wrinkle free
- Shoes should be presentable
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be at least 19 years of age
- Must hold a valid United States Driver's License for a minimum of 2 years
- Must hold a valid Texas Driver's License and a driving record within MVR policy guidelines
- Must have High School Diploma or GED Certificate
- Must be able to pass DOT Physical and Drug Screen
- Able to handle alcohol and work within TABC Guidelines
- Able to work flexible hours including weekends
- Must have smart phone with a camera and date capability
Physical Requirements:
- Able to perform repetitive lifting, bending, pulling, pushing, twisting, turning, crouching, and squatting repeatedly throughout the workday
- Able to lift, load, unload, and move products weighing 25-40 pounds
- Able to occasionally handle kegs that can weigh up to 160 pounds
- Continuous standing and walking up to 8 hours at a time
- Ability to operate a two or four-wheel dolly
- Must be able to push 300lbs dolly load move 160lb kegs
- Must be able to safely operate a pallet jack
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
- Basic math skills needed to adjust invoices when necessary
- Background developing and maintaining relationships with internal team and external customers
- Ability to work in a team environment on multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
- Beverage industry experience a plus
- Beer delivery, merchandising, or selling experience preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work with account decision makers in order to achieve sales volume and team objectives by building displays, filling shelves and coolers, and merchandising retail accounts with temporary and permanent point of sales items
- Assist in the execution of all marketing and sales programs to drive incremental volume
- Rotate and replenish product on displays, shelves, and back stock areas
- Monitor the quality and control standards of all company products
- Manage product returns and damaged products in the market
- Maintain a professional and responsive attitude when handling customer complaints
- Ensure compliance with all legal guidelines, company standards, and policies
- Daily in person travel within the service territories of Wismer Distributing required
- Attend weekly meetings to discuss goals and expectations
- Required to work Saturdays or Sundays as determined by Delivery & Service Leader
- Required to work Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday schedule as determined by Delivery & Service Leader
- Provide support for sales promotions and special events, may include possible nights and weekends
- Fully utilize technology available to maximize time and increase delivery efficiencies
- Ensure accurate completion of the Department of Transportation checklist and report maintenance problems and accidents to Delivery & Service Leader in a timely manner
- Maintain all company areas, equipment, and vehicles in accordance with company standards
- Administrative work including but not limited to accurately completing and submitting all required paperwork, daily route invoices, and cash and check deposit slips in a timely manner
