AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Water Resources Civil Engineering Intern - Summer 2026 to join our Dallas, TX office.

Our Internship Program, Explore, is designed for college students pursuing a degree in a STEM field and provides opportunities to learn what it's like to work in a professional environment and apply what's learned in class to the real-world challenges we face every day.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Learn from professional engineers standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria in carrying out sequence of somewhat diversified tasks requiring the use of analysis, interpretation, and deductive reasoning.
• Assist with projects ranging from the design of stormwater pollution prevention controls to the collection of stormwater quality field data in support of the completion of the planning, design, and operation and maintenance of water quality structural and non-structural controls.
• Provide administrative and operations support.
• Responsible for the compilation of data and the preparation of reports.

QUALIFICATIONS

• EXPERIENCE: No experience is generally required if accepted into an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program in a related technical field.
• EDUCATION: High school level courses in math, technical drafting, computer assisted drafting and/or science may be required. No experience is generally required with the applicable high school courses or equivalent training, or if accepted into an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program in a related technical field.
• SPECIAL SKILLS: Math skills to perform simple calculations; willingness to learn. Basic computer skills required to enter data into spreadsheets or databases.Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation and ESRI ArcGIS (preferred).
• PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATIONS: None.

Expected compensation range is between $25 - $31 hourly depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
