Chemical Technician

We buy chemicals in bulk and put them into smaller containers for our customers. The Chemical Technicians pack, weigh, and label items for shipment and storage. This is a closely knit team who really enjoy working with each other. Although the work is fast-paced, safety and accuracy come before speed.

If you are an organized, efficient team player who is willing to learn and work hard in a fast paced environment; this position can be the growth opportunity of a lifetime!

Essential Responsibilities:

• Pack, weigh and label completed items for shipment or storage
• Follow all company guidelines regarding packaging
• Follow all company packaging instructions for safety and product integrity
• Identify and dispose of defective items before they are shipped to customers

Qualifications & Expertise:

• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Clean, prep, and inventory supplies for packaging
• Ability and willingness to comply and ensure compliance with all regulatory safety and environmental requirements
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including respirator without restriction
• Must be clean shaven and be able to properly use a respirator
• Ability to lift 50lbs

Nice to have, but not required:

• Prior warehouse experience
• Prior chemical handling experience
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds frequently
• Frequently performs tasks requiring climbing, bending at the waist, crawling, kneeling, crouching
• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to safety glasses, masks/respirators, goggles, gloves, and safety toe work shoes.
• Must be able to adhere to long periods of standing and walking.
• Ability to hear, understand and distinguish speech and/or other sounds to equipment safely.
• Must be able to use arms and hands to reach overhead, signal, grab, hold, lift, turn, push and pull objects and tools
• Due to the respirator fit requirements, beards are not permitted
