Senior Property Accountant - Commercial Real Estate (Retail)

Foresite Commercial Real Estate is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Property Accountant to join our growing team specializing in commercial retail properties . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with specific expertise in managing the financial operations of retail real estate assets.

As a Senior Property Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of property accounting, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and collaborating closely with property managers and property owners. Your role will involve preparing financial statements, budgets, and financial forecasts while also ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the monthly and annual financial reporting processes for retail properties
• Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements
• Manage budgets and forecasts, providing analysis and variance reports to stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies
• Collaborate with property management on accounting-related matters and operational support

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance
• 5+ years of commercial real estate accounting experience, preferably in retail
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel; Yardi and Appfolio experience is a plus
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines
