Job Title: Principal Engineer, Digital QA
Location-Type: Hybrid (Houston, TX – Mon–Thurs onsite, Fridays remote)
Start Date Is: ASAP
Duration: 12-month contract (likely to extend)
Compensation Range: $55-75/hr W2
Job Description:
Lead the administration, integration, and optimization of enterprise data governance and quality platforms to ensure high performance, scalability, and compliance. This role fills a critical need for platform administration and integration within the client's data governance ecosystem. The ideal candidate will be proactive, solutions-oriented, and highly experienced in configuring and scaling data quality tools in enterprise environments.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Administer and configure Atlan and DQ Labs platforms for governance and data quality tasks

Integrate platforms with enterprise data sources and automate workflows

Monitor performance, apply upgrades, and resolve technical issues

Support compliance through secure configurations and audit logging

Provide Tier 3 technical support and collaborate with vendors
Requirements:

Must-Haves:
-
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field

Experience with Atlan, DQ Labs, or similar data governance/data quality tools

Proficiency in API integration, metadata management, and data lineage
-
Knowledge of data governance principles and data quality frameworks

Familiarity with Data Mesh architecture

Experience with data product development and orchestration tools

Nice-to-Haves:

Experience with Monte Carlo or other modern data observability platforms

Familiarity with BI platform integrations and security standards (GDPR, CCPA)
