Quality Supervisor
- Supervise and coordinate daily quality inspection activities across production lines (e.g., cell processing, module assembly, lamination, and testing).
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards (ISO 9001, IEC standards for solar modules, and internal quality procedures).
- Monitor adherence to quality control plans, inspection protocols, and testing requirements.
- Review and approve inspection reports, nonconformance reports (NCRs), and corrective actions.
- Lead, train, and mentor quality inspectors and technicians.
- Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide coaching to improve team effectiveness.
- Conduct regular team meetings and ensure clear communication of quality expectations.
- Analyze quality data and production trends to identify defects, root causes, and improvement opportunities.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) initiatives.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve yield, reduce scrap, and enhance product reliability.
- Ensure proper execution of electrical, mechanical, and visual inspections of solar panels (e.g., EL testing, IV curve testing, insulation testing).
- Verify calibration and maintenance of inspection and testing equipment.
- Oversee incoming material inspections and supplier quality coordination.
- Maintain accurate quality records, reports, and documentation.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality performance reports.
- Support internal and external audits and ensure readiness for customers or regulatory inspections.
- Strong knowledge of quality systems (ISO 9001) and statistical process control (SPC).
- Experience with root cause analysis tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram, FMEA).
- Familiarity with solar panel manufacturing processes and testing methods is highly desirable.
- Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools (Excel, Minitab, or similar).
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience in renewable energy or solar manufacturing is a strong advantage.
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher) is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- 3–5+ years of experience in quality assurance within a manufacturing environment (solar, electronics, or semiconductor preferred).
- Prior supervisory or team leadership experience required.
