Job Essential Functions:
- - Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history-taking and physical examinations.
- - Formulate and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and clinical guidelines.
- - Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
- - Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging studies.
- - Administer medications and provide treatments as prescribed.
- - Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- - Educate patients and families on health management, disease prevention, and treatment options.
- - Document all patient interactions and care plans in electronic health records (EHR).
- - Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- - Education: Master’s degree in Nursing (for ACNP) or relevant PA program.
- - Certification: Current certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP-BC) or Physician Assistant (PA-C).
- -Licensure: Valid Texas state license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
Experience:
- Skills: Strong clinical assessment skills, ability to work independently, excellent communication, and teamwork abilities.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS:
Requires, standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, twisting. Requires full range of motion, manual dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. May require helping lift/transfer patients. Requires ability to deal with stress from dealing with multiple tasks, irregular hours, tense patients, and unexpected emergencies
