Job Summary

As a Senior Business Analyst for Coterra , you will manage analysis, configuration, and support for Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Financial modules, collaborating with finance, IT, and stakeholders to improve financial processes and reporting.

You will also support IFS/P2 Enterprise applications, focusing on upstream revenue and joint venture accounting to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance, and seamless system integration. This position is located onsite at our Houston Texas headquarters. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

System Configuration And Support

• Configure and maintain Oracle EBS Financial modules: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cash Management.

• Configure and maintain IFS/P2 Enterprise modules related to Upstream Revenue Management, Joint Interest Billing (JIB), and Division Order.

• Support monthly and quarterly release activities including code migration and patching.

• Provide 24/7 operational support for financial applications.

Business Process Analysis

• Analyze current financial workflows and identify areas for improvement.

• Translate business requirements into functional specifications.

• Analyze current revenue and JV accounting workflows to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.

• Collaborate with finance, land, and operations teams to streamline processes and enhance reporting accuracy.

Project Leadership

• Lead implementation and upgrade projects for Oracle EBS Financials.

• Lead implementation, upgrade, and enhancement projects for IFS/P2 Enterprise systems.

• Coordinate with IT and third-party vendors to ensure timely and successful delivery.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery.

Documentation & Training

• Practical expertise in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

• Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, business processes, and training materials.

• Train end-users and provide post-implementation support.

• Serve as a liaison between business units and technical teams.

• Facilitate workshops, gather requirements, and translate them into functional specifications

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Deep understanding of Oracle EBS versions including 12.2.

• Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Fusion Financials is a plus.

• Deep knowledge of IFS/P2 Enterprise or similar upstream ERP systems.

• Strong data analysis and problem-solving capabilities.

• Experience with SQL, Excel, and reporting tools.

• Experience with SOX compliance and audit support.

  EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Information Systems.

• CPA or equivalent certification

• Oracle certifications in Financials or Business Analysis

  YEARS OF EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 7–10+ years in Oracle ERP, specifically EBS Financials.

• Minimum 7+ years in oil & gas accounting or upstream financial systems
