The HR Generalist is the dedicated HR representative for the Conroe Panelmatic manufacturing location. This is a high-trust, site-level role where you represent the face of HR for the employees and leaders at your site. You will partner directly with site leadership to build a positive, compliant, and productive work environment, making independent day-to-day HR decisions, and escalating complex matters to the HR Manager as appropriate.

This role is best suited for an experienced HR professional who is confident in their judgment, comfortable working with some autonomy, and eager to be a genuine partner to the business rather than a back-office processor. Your primary function will be to focus on what matters most: people, compliance, and culture.

  • Build trust across all levels of the site by delivering timely, accurate, and confidential service

Onboarding & Offboarding

  • Coordinate offboarding activities including exit documentation, equipment return, and system deactivation
  • Continuously develop and refine onboarding and offboarding procedures, analyzing trends to recommend improvements

Payroll Coordination & Benefits

  • Partner with the Payroll Specialist to ensure all site-level payroll changes (status changes, corrections, deductions, garnishments, bonuses) are submitted accurately and on time

Immigration Support

  • Assist employees and managers with immigration-related documentation and processes under the guidance of the HR Manager
  • Coordinate with external counsel and immigration vendors to track visa status, work authorization renewals, and compliance deadlines (OPT, H-1B, TN, EB)
  • Maintain organized, audit-ready records for all work authorization documents

Compliance & HR Operations

  • Stay current on federal, state, and local employment law; ensure site-level HR practices remain compliant and well-documented
  • Conduct annual employee engagement surveys, analyze results, and recommend site-specific initiatives
  • Support the Employee Events Team with engagement activities including quarterly events and the annual holiday party
