Work you'll do

As a Manager, Full-stack Software Engineer, you will actively engage in your engineering craft, taking a hands-on approach to multiple high-visibility projects. Your expertise will be pivotal in delivering solutions that delight customers and users, while also driving tangible value for Deloitte's business investments. You will leverage your extensive engineering craftsmanship and advanced proficiency across multiple programming languages and modern frameworks, consistently demonstrating your exemplary track record in delivering high-quality, outcome-focused solutions. The ideal candidate will be a dependable team player and mentor, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy advanced software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Outcome-Driven Accountability: Own delivery of high-quality, lean solutions that drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Technical Leadership and Advocacy: Champion product integrity and alignment, overseeing architecture, design, development, and support.
  • Engineering Craftsmanship: Ensure code quality and maintainability; create technical specs, write and review code, and mentor team members.
  • Customer-Centric Engineering: Rapidly experiment and iterate to deliver effective solutions that address evolving customer needs.
  • Incremental and Iterative Delivery: Deliver solutions in small, actionable steps, adapting quickly to feedback and changing requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration and Integration: Integrate diverse perspectives within empowered teams to deliver optimal business value.
  • Advanced Technical Proficiency: Apply expertise in modern software practices, Agile, and DevSecOps to enable automated, high-frequency deployment.
  • Domain Expertise: Rapidly learn and apply business requirements, translating them into technical designs and solutions.
  • Effective Communication and Influence: Clearly articulate technical concepts to inspire, persuade, and align teams with business goals.
  • Engagement and Collaborative Co-Creation: Build strong relationships at all levels to foster teamwork and deliver shared product success.
Qualifications:

Required:
  • Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that requires US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2 - 3 days per week.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience developing and deploying solutions using modern programming languages and cloud-native platforms (e.g., Angular, Node.js, Python, C#, . NET Core, SQL/NoSQL, AWS).
  • Proficient in designing, building, and supporting cloud-.native architectures leveraging AWS services such as Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, Aurora, RDS, Glue, Step Functions, MSK, SNS/SQS, and Athena.
  • Demonstrated expertise building scalable microservices and using FaaS and PaaS solutions.
  • Proven ability to implement and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines and quality assurance practices within Agile development environments.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
  • One of the following accreditations obtained:
    • Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA

Preferred skills:
  • Experience exceeding 5 years with multiple cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Advanced skills in serverless and containerized architectures across public clouds.
  • Expertise implementing and optimizing highly available, scalable solutions using a broad suite of AWS services.
  • Prior experience supporting projects in the Fintech domain, with a focus on complex financial systems or advanced calculations and algorithm development.
  • Prior transformation or modernization experience, leading a team as a technical lead.
  • Skilled at translating business requirements into robust, maintainable technical solutions as part of high-performing, cross-functional teams.
  • Track record of effective code reviews, ensuring code quality, security, and alignment with best practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, evidenced by experience collaborating across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to handle diverse situations, complex projects, and changing priorities, behaving with passion, empathy, and care.
