The Account Manager will serve as a liaise between third party administrators (TPAs), clients and cross functional internal teams to ensure timely and successful support is provided. They will also work closely with the Account Executives to provide support in daily account management tasks.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage routine client support activities, including the resolution of both routine and complex client issues and requests in a timely and effective manner.
- Collaborate with the Account Executive (AE) team to identify opportunities for improvement and implement best practices to enhance client experience and operational efficiency.
- Provide project management support for assigned initiatives, ensuring timely execution and completion.
- Support the client renewal process, including preparation and assistance during client presentations alongside the Account Executive.
- Manage client reporting and support the Account Executive in delivering accurate and compelling presentations.
- Identify opportunities for revenue growth and support the Account Executive in presenting solutions and recommendations to clients.
- Partner with the Client Services Representative to support claims, eligibility, and administrative functions.
- Collaborate with Account Executives in preparation for quarterly client meetings, including tracking account plan strategies and tactics.
- Ensure timely completion of client renewals, maintaining accurate and up-to-date account profiles within Salesforce and supporting clear internal and external communication.
- Triage incoming client inquiries and issues, ensuring timely acknowledgment (within 24 hours) and resolution of approximately 90% of issues within 48–72 hours.
- Document and maintain a detailed case log to ensure visibility of critical issues and timely resolution of standard issues.
- Contribute to strong client retention by proactively supporting client needs and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
Education & Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; or equivalent combination of four (4) years of related client support or account management experience.
- Strong analytical, planning, and multitasking skills with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
- Working knowledge of health plans, TPAs, and broker/consultant relationships.
- Understanding of medical benefit plan design and medical claims.
- Knowledge of self-funded medical plans.
- Ability to develop and maintain deep expertise in Healthcare Highways products and best practices.
- Customer service–oriented with a detail-oriented and professional demeanor.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to address customer needs and make sound decisions.
- Demonstrated strong work ethic, self-motivation, and desire to succeed.
- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
