Are you a skilled technician with a passion for working on specialty vehicles? We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable individual to join our team as a Specialty Vehicle Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing various systems and equipment on a wide range of specialty vehicles. Your tasks will include conducting comprehensive inspections, running advanced diagnostic tests, and analyzing client systems to identify issues and potential problems. You will utilize your expertise to perform necessary repairs, ensuring vehicles operate at peak performance. Additionally, you will provide clients with detailed repair recommendations based on your findings, explaining the issues, proposed solutions, and associated costs clearly and professionally. Maintaining accurate records of your work and staying updated with the latest advancements in specialty vehicle technology will also be key aspects of your role, ensuring you deliver top-notch service and support to our clients.
Key Responsibilities for Specialty Vehicle Technician:
- Diagnostic Testing: Conduct tests to identify issues and malfunctions in vehicles.
- Vehicle Repair: Perform comprehensive repairs and maintenance on systems like powertrain, brakes, and electrical.
- Technical Skills: Use hand tools and specialized equipment for vehicle assembly and component repairs.
- Estimation: Inspect vehicles and provide precise repair cost estimates.
- Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of all repairs and services performed.
- Continuous Learning: Keep abreast of the latest automotive technology and industry trends.
Experience and Skills:
- Experience: Proven background in automotive diagnostics and repair.
- Software Knowledge: Familiarity with auto-estimating software.
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using various hand tools and specialized repair equipment.
- Specialized Knowledge: Experience in auto body repair and familiarity with GM vehicles are advantageous.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Licenses: Valid driver’s license.
- Abilities: Excellent problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
