Hourly Rate - $15.00
Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
- Complies with established safety policies and procedures and other regulations as applicable.
- Instructs/provides direction to Slitting Assistants. Performs Slitting Assistant job duties, as needed.
- Reads and produces according to production schedule.
- Interprets production documents (i.e. spec sheet, color target).
- Performs job setup (including vent unit)/changeover.
- Operates/troubleshoots slitter.
- Performs quality checks.
- Reports/corrects nonconforming issues, including the removal of flagged defective material.
- Records/tracks production output and scrap.
- Reports runtime vs. downtime.
- Maintains retain samples.
- Maintains slitter and notifies Converting Team Lead to generate work orders.
- Cleans and ensures the department is maintained in an orderly fashion.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate shall possess the following:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Basic computer skills, required. Experience with web-based software and ERP systems required.
- Basic math skills, required. Must pass the New Hire Base Assessment Test, which measures basic arithmetic and mechanical aptitude.
- Able to operate basic tools and measuring devices (tape measure, scale, etc.).
- Ability to read, write and speak in the English language to the extent necessary to effectively communicate and interpret instructions.
- Minimum of 1 year slitting experience in a manufacturing environment required.
- 12-hour shift work experience preferred.
