Position Summary

The Full Charge Bookkeeper II is a key leadership role responsible for managing all aspects of the company’s financial operations and supervising the accounting team. This position works directly with the Director of Operations and the Partnership Group to ensure the financial health of both EquipPro Distributors and PA-PO Industrial Systems . Duties include managing client and vendor accounts, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, financial reporting, audits, and liaising with the company’s CPA firm.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with GAAP.
  • Manage all bookkeeping tasks, including general journal entries, A/P, A/R, purchasing, and financial statement preparation.
  • Reconcile bank and asset accounts regularly.
  • Conduct routine audits of financial data, ensuring proper accounting codes and documentation.
  • Oversee tax compliance, state registrations, permits, and asset depreciation schedules.
  • Analyze expense trends and provide recommendations for cost savings and revenue growth.
  • Process payroll and analyze job costing and project WIP reporting.
  • Supervise and support the accounting team, ensuring adherence to company policies and performance expectations.
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports as requested by the operations team or partners.
  • Maintain daily communication, including checking and responding to clients, vendors, and internal emails.
  • Perform other finance-related tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in bookkeeping, with at least recent 3 years of experience using QuickBooks Online .
  • Bookkeeping Expertise: Strong understanding of accounting principles, procedures, and best practices.
  • Tax Preparation: Hands-on experience with company tax preparation , including liability tax filings , and collaboration with external CPA firms.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and precision in all financial tasks, ensuring error-free records and reports.
  • Reliability & Confidentiality: Proven track record of dependability, discretion, and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), with an emphasis on Excel for financial analysis.
  • Independence: Ability to work with minimal supervision, exercising sound judgment and decision-making.
  • Organization & Prioritization: Exceptional skills in managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions for cost control and business growth.
  • Client Interaction: Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience in direct client communication and relationship management.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a dynamic environment and quickly adjusting to changes in priorities and deadlines.
