Location: Northeast Houston, TX.
Pay: $19.00–$21.00 per hour (based on experience) | Weekly Pay.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM.

Position Overview:

Openwork is partnering with a respected industrial client to hire an experienced Shipping & Receiving / Material Handler. This role plays a key part in daily operations by ensuring materials are received, handled, and shipped accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and condition.
• Load and unload trucks using forklifts and warehouse equipment.
• Store and organize materials in designated areas.
• Pick, pack, and prepare outbound shipments.
• Complete shipping documentation including bills of lading and packing slips.
• Move materials throughout the facility to support operations.
• Maintain accurate inventory and assist with cycle counts.
• Operate forklifts in a heavy-use environment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
• Work outdoors approximately 70% of the time.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, or material handling.
• Strong forklift experience required.
• Consistent attendance and reliable work history.
• Ability to lift and move 50+ pounds regularly.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Reliable transportation.
• Basic computer skills.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
