Type of equipment - Standard Emergency Department EMR Meditech Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for: Must have candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Strong ED clinical judgment and critical thinking (able to rapidly assess, prioritize and intervene in high acuity and low resource ED setting, strong TRIAGE skills) Ability to work independently and within a small high functioning team (accountability, adaptability and effective communication in two RN, one Rad tech and one ED provider staffing model) Strong Teamwork and communication skills (works collaboratively with physicians, nurses and unlicensed staff and EMS) Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first. Bilingual (English and Spanish) Previous experience working in FSED Meditech Knowledge Point of Care testing experience in FSED. List typical procedures performed on unit(s): Phlebotomy ED nursing care across all TRIAGE levels. Airway management / Intubation support Splinting/ immobilization Moderate sedation monitoring and recovery Wound care/ laceration repair assistance Cardiac monitoring, code response and resuscitation support. Floating Area(s): May be floated to Brownsville FSED (23.25 miles from Harlingen FSED) and Main ED at main campus 23 miles away from Harling FSED. Dress Code: Scrub Color/Attire - Royal blue.
