Are you a detail-oriented finance professional looking to make an impact? Centex Technologies in Killeen, TX is seeking a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team!

Key Responsibilities:

· Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts

· Prepare and analyze financial statements

· Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes

· Process accounts payable and receivable transactions

· Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights

· Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and tax preparation

Ideal Candidate:

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred (or equivalent experience)

· 2+ years of accounting experience

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

· Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy

Full-time position (Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm) 

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES (KSA)

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is preferred. A combination of Education and Experience will be considered.2+ years of accounting experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Paylocity) is a plus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position requires the ability to sit for extended periods, operate a computer, and perform other light office tasks.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Primarily an office environment with interaction with colleagues and occasional interaction with external stakeholders.

WORK STATUS, SCHEDULE & TRAVEL

• Monday – Friday, 8am -5p, (1-hour lunch)
• Some weekends, holidays, and flexible scheduling may be required.
• Travel as required to meet company and contract needs.
