Logistics Sales Representative

As a Logistics Sales Representative at Transnet, Inc., you will be responsible for leveraging your existing book of business while generating new business in truckload logistics. You’ll cultivate relationships with both new and dedicated customers, delivering tailored truckload solutions that meet their needs. You will collaborate closely with our operations team to ensure customer satisfaction, focusing on securing long-term partnerships and revenue growth. 🎯 Key Responsibilities:
- Leverage Existing Customer Base: Utilize your current book of business to drive immediate truckload sales, while nurturing long-term client relationships.
- Business Development: Identify and target potential new clients through market research, referrals, and networking, focusing on truckload transportation solutions.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with both existing and new clients, ensuring consistent, reliable communication and service delivery.
- Sales Strategy & Negotiation: Develop and execute sales strategies, negotiate contracts, and secure favorable pricing for truckload services while maximizing profitability.
- Collaboration with Operations: Partner with Transnet’s operations and carrier management teams to ensure the successful execution of shipments and maintain high service standards.
- Industry Insight & Reporting: Stay updated on market trends, competitor offerings, and customer needs. Provide regular sales forecasts and performance updates to leadership.
- Experience: 3-7 years of sales experience in logistics, transportation, or truckload brokerage, with a proven track record of success in managing an active customer base.
- Existing Book of Business: Required —Candidates must bring a current book of existing customers in the logistics/truckload industry.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of full truckload (FTL) operations, pricing strategies, and market conditions.
- Skills:
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage and grow a portfolio of clients.
- Results-oriented with a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred but not required.
- 100% commission-based structure.
