The Human Resources Business Partner supports HR operations across all business units, partnering closely with employees and leadership to ensure smooth and compliant execution of HR functions.
Key Responsibilities:- Partner with the HR Director to support daily operations and long-term HR initiatives.
- Post open positions, review applications, screen candidates, and coordinate interviews.
- Assist with new hire onboarding including orientations, benefits enrollment, and policy training.
- Ensure compliance with I-9, E-Verify, and background check procedures for all hires.
- Maintain accurate personnel files and employee data in the HRIS system (UKG).
- Enter and update employee records including job titles, pay changes, and performance data.
- Support payroll preparation and inputs; ensure employee data is current and accurate.
- Respond to employee questions related to benefits, PTO, policies, and HR procedures.
- Assist with benefits administration including enrollments, life event changes, and open enrollment logistics.
- Coordinate offboarding including termination paperwork, system updates, and benefit closures.
- Respond to employment verifications, wage garnishments, and agency requests.
- Provide support for employee relations matters; document issues and escalate to HR Director as needed.
- Assist with formal investigations and prepare detailed, objective documentation.
- Support employee engagement efforts such as recognition programs, surveys, and communication campaigns.
- Create and maintain organizational charts, job descriptions, and compensation data.
- Contribute to training efforts including development of content and coordination of sessions on topics such as harassment prevention, diversity, and supervisory skills.
- Assist with compliance tasks related to labor law, safety, and HR documentation.
- Generate custom HR reports and analytics for leadership as needed.
- Help prepare HR content for company meetings and internal communications.
- Participate in HR-related projects, process improvements, and community initiatives.
- Support various administrative tasks, ticketing systems, and special assignments as needed.
- Associate or Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related field, or minimum of 3 years of direct HR experience
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information
- Excellent time management, organization, and communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
- Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Drive)
- Experience with HRIS platforms (UKG preferred)
- PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar HR certification is a plus
