Project Manager

The successful execution of this position can be summarized as “driving success”. This position requires organization, confidence and good communication. Driving success will be accomplished through preparation, planning and follow through. The project manager’s opportunities to drive success are outlined below throughout the project lifecycle. This position serves as the key link between production, transportation, the customer, and construction.

· Project Planning

1. Create initial project schedule to include design, gear up, production, shipping and installation
2. Prepare for and schedule pre-production meeting.
3. Identify potential bottlenecks and specific tools or equipment required.
4. Submit shop drawings and any other required information.
5. Review and execute orders for required tools and materials for production.
6. Continue to communicate and manage expectations with customers.

· Production

1. Program and monitor project production schedule and quality.
2. Continue to communicate and manage expectations with customers.
3. Maintain flow of raw materials needed to avoid delays in production.
4. Report on progress, key events, and obstacles at the weekly production meeting.

· Delivery and Installation

1. Continue to communicate and manage expectations with customers.
2. Communicate with traffic manager the quantity, type and schedule for materials to be delivered.
3. Visit site to confirm the adequacy of our plan and ensure a comprehensive understanding of site logistics and challenges.
4. Prepare for and schedule preconstruction meeting focused on delivery and installation.

• Provide installation crew with job notebook.
• Host pre-construction meeting with all company project stakeholders
• Outline project details, travel details and schedule expectations.
• Layout process for installation and get feedback and answer questions from install crew.

5. Identify and carry out quality checks as needed to ensure every stage is executed with quality and efficiency.
6. Monitor and organize daily production reports

· Project close out

1. Continue to communicate and manage expectations with customers.
2. Prepare and plan postconstruction meeting to include:

• Project cost vs budget
• Project complications
• Project successes
• Summary of lessons learned
• Actions for continual improvement
• Submit final documents to customer including as built drawings, thank you package and request for feedback.
