Service Porter

The Service Porter position supports the body shop function by transporting vehicles and maintaining the service area. The Service Porter is responsible for driving vehicles to/from the service drive, service bays and parking lots.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for safely driving customer vehicles from service drive, service bays and parking lots.
• Assist with customer return and delivery of serviced vehicles.
• Assist service advisors in making key tags for incoming vehicles.
• Maintain overall cleanliness of the service department.
• Empty and clean all trash receptacles, inside and out.
• Remove old scrap parts from the shop.
• Clean oil storage tanks, drains and disposes of oil filters.
• Assist technicians with oil and water spills and emptying drain tubs.
• Runs errands as directed by department management.
• Meet customer service standards by achieving ‘above district’ customer service information “CSI” scores.
• Follow established safety protocols; report any shop equipment in improper working condition; immediately report safety incidents.
• Understand, keep informed of, and comply with federal, state and local regulations that affect service operations, such as hazardous waste disposal and OSHA right-to-know.
• Safeguard dealership assets and customer data.
• Complete required training assigned through the company training portal.
• Adhere to consistent and reliable work schedule.
• Demonstrate ethical business practices and integrity in all interactions to uphold the Mac Haik Automotive group brand.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
• Successful completion of pre-employment screening
• Authorization to work in the USA
