HR Generalist

Responsibilities
- Post job openings and manage applicant tracking systems to support recruitment efforts
- Assist with screening resumes and conducting initial candidate interviews
- Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers
- Support the hiring process by assisting with job offers, background checks, and onboarding activities
- Serve as a resource for employees regarding HR policies and procedures
- Coordinate new hire orientation and onboarding programs to ensure a smooth transition for new employees
- Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data
- Conduct exit interviews and track turnover data to support retention initiatives
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Maintain and update HR policies and the employee handbook
- Assist with internal audits and documentation requirements
- Coordinate employee training and development programs
- Track required certifications and compliance training
- Assist HR leadership with special projects and initiatives as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- 2–5 years of experience in an HR generalist or similar role
- Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with HRIS systems (such as Workday, ADP, BambooHR, or similar)
- HR certification such as SHRM-CP or PHR (preferred)
- Experience supporting multi-site or field-based employees (preferred)
