HR Generalist

Responsibilities

• Post job openings and manage applicant tracking systems to support recruitment efforts
• Assist with screening resumes and conducting initial candidate interviews
• Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers
• Support the hiring process by assisting with job offers, background checks, and onboarding activities
• Serve as a resource for employees regarding HR policies and procedures
• Coordinate new hire orientation and onboarding programs to ensure a smooth transition for new employees
• Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data
• Conduct exit interviews and track turnover data to support retention initiatives
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
• Maintain and update HR policies and the employee handbook
• Assist with internal audits and documentation requirements
• Coordinate employee training and development programs
• Track required certifications and compliance training
• Assist HR leadership with special projects and initiatives as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
• 2–5 years of experience in an HR generalist or similar role
• Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with HRIS systems (such as Workday, ADP, BambooHR, or similar)
• HR certification such as SHRM-CP or PHR (preferred)
• Experience supporting multi-site or field-based employees (preferred)
